‘The Happy Chef’ and proud mum receives the Silver Award in Business Excellence QLD/NT
Chef Mel, aka ‘The Happy Chef’, recently won the Silver Award in Business Excellence QLD/NT at this year’s AusMumpreneur annual awards ceremony and gala.
The AusMumpreneur Awards are held annually to honor Australian women entrepreneurs with children who are contributing in big ways to the Australian economy. These female business leaders are challenging stereotypes, conquering the business world and raising awareness.
Praised for her work in the kitchen, Chef Mel, the founder of the Vanilla Zulu Culinary School, has been entertaining fans for years with her signature cooking style and sense of humor. Additionally, her high-performing YouTube channel pairs fans with her unique cooking offerings, recipes and general kitchen tips. She also has authored a series of Culinary Quickies cookbooks, which provide a fresh perspective on fast meals that look like it took a whole day to make, but still a knockout on the plate.
“My only superpower is teaching people how to be more “cheffy” and efficient in their kitchens: said Chef Mel. “I add humor, shortcuts, hacks and tricks to make my students happier and more confident in their kitchens. Receiving this award means the world to me, it’s so wonderful to be recognised and appreciated.” she added.
The nationally-recognized AusMumpreneur Awards have been operating since 2009. The awards ceremony and luxurious gala spotlights the best and brightest among the Australian ‘mumpreneur’ industry and aims to bring recognition to their many business successes, developments, innovation and service. The show is proudly presented by both AusMumpreneur and The Women’s Business School.
